We call our Wednesday evening gatherings, "Porch Sessions".  The "Porch" because we are welcoming to all, we're connected to more (Bedrock Roanoke), we're just an entrance to something bigger, and we're just the beginning of your faith walk!

We meet at the Bedrock Quarry - 1030 Mecca St. NE Roanoke.  Sessions start at 6:15 and wrap up at 8:30pm.

The Commission in Acts 1:8 is a consistent and foundational piece of our program.  That Commission calls us to be witnesses not only to the ends of the earth, but also to our families, friends, neighbors, and community. While we pray, plan, and gather resources for global outreach, ministry is not on hold.

Each month, our students and leaders look for opportunities to meet urgent needs in our community.  Join is for our next Good Works Saturday project.

Because Community is so important to us, we offer discussion groups, team challenges, and community events; because deep relationships do not happen by accident.  We build community on shared experiences and intentional connection.
Our youth group is committed to providing a safe space where students feel seen, valued, and known.
Each month to go along with our Wednesday gatherings, we provide Friends and Family outreaches, outdoor adventures, and seasonal retreats and conferences.

Your students will experience heartfelt worship, good friends, and a refreshing look into God’s Word in a comfortable, casual setting at Bedrock.

We believe in reaching our city for Christ and we provide opportunities not just to come to church but be the church!
Bring your friends! We would love the chance to get to know who you hang out with, so invite them to come with you to The Porch on Wednesday or to church on Sunday!

This semester, to go along with the theme of "Sent Disciples", we are walking through the book, "Prayer, Care, Share".   Our aim is to move from the thought sharing your faith is important, to practicing it in your normal everyday life.  We want to be intentional and relational witnesses that help the people around us see Jesus accurately.  

Each student and leader will be given their own copy of the book, that they read throughout the week and bring their findings and questions back to our Wednesday Night Sessions.

The Book challenges include:

• Pray for specific people who are far from Christ.
• Care in sincere, tangible ways because people matter to God.
• Share the Gospel and their testimony clearly when God opens an opportunity.
• Help create a church culture where reaching family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers is normal.

Most of our churches have created silos divided by age. The generations are disconnected, people feel undervalued, and we’re far from unified. We want Bedrock Roanoke  to be unified, but first, we need a way to connect the generations. The Pray for Me Campaign links the generations in our church community through prayer. During the campaign, students invite believers from multiple generations to pray for one year through the Pray for Me Prayer Guide.

What are the expectations?
Prayer of course! We are asking you to pray every day for your student for a year! Connect with them! Send a text, attend our Pray for Me event (date TBD), leave their favorite snack at the quarry on Wednesday. Take this seriously. We have all be guilty of saying "I'll be praying!" only to forget to pray. We  believe that this campaign has the potential to radically change lives and we ask you to take it seriously.
