Simplicity and Solitude

Jan 26, 2025    Jeremiah Hambrick

In Week 4 of our series, Jeremiah explores the themes of Simplicity and Solitude, drawing from Luke 12:13-34 and other passages where Jesus models withdrawing to quiet places to pray. He challenges us to reflect on the distractions of modern life, reminding us that “the greatest threat to Christianity is not hedonism but distraction” (Ian Simpkins). Through simplicity, we are called to unify our hearts and lives in the pursuit of God’s kingdom, learning to turn down the noise of the world and tune into God’s still, small voice. Eternity begins now, and as we embrace the journey, we find that quality relationships, presence, and spiritual growth happen over time.
